Yellow Paper
He walks in perfectly wearing his small Nike body bag in front of him.
And he doesn't know, that he just made the day of the girl in the corner.
He smiles and it puts the brightest twinkle on his eyes that you have seen.
And he doesn't know, that he just brightened up the world of the girl in the corner.
He thinks of basketball and booze and his friends. Mostly he thinks of the girls he had slept with.
She thinks of his basketball games, the booze he drinks, his jerk friends. Mostly she thinks of the girls he slept with, dreaming if a day will come when her name would soon be on his lips.
But that day never came.
And it will never come.
For he will never see, the girl in the corner with the awkward glasses.
For he will never know her name.
For he will never notice, even her existence.
For he will never accept the love that the girl in the corner is so much willing to give.
And now she's broke. And she doesn't know what to do. Because she never learn how to say goodbye to someone she had never been with. She doesn't know how to forget someone who was never even hers to hold and call "mine".
And she doesn't know how to let go of the love that never was.
